DESCRIPTION:This summer\, July 25-31\, ACV Student Ministry has the unique
opportunity to go to Miami for a mission trip. This trip will be led by Pa
stor Glen. While we are in Miami\, we will be working with Envision and th
e missionaries who are currently placed there. It will be a great opportun
ity for our students to share the Gospel in an area in desperate need of C
hrist.\nMiami is a unique city in the United States\; many say it feels li
ke a foreign country due to its diversity of ethnicity\, languages\, relig
ions\, and more. Miami is a city with many living in poverty and with tons
of physical needs. They also have a deep spiritual need\, with only 40% o
f citizens claiming any religion at all and only 10% claiming to be Christ
ian. Miami is the definition of worldly desires\; they need a spiritual gr
asp on reality. We have the opportunity to be a light in a dark place.\nWh
ile in Miami\, we will partner with the local church to reach the lost. Po
ssibilities for the trip include prayer walks\, VBS\, sports ministry\, pa
rtnering with local public schools\, homeless ministry\, and more! As a wo
rker in Miami\, you will be serving in a cross-cultural setting\, possibly
  working with Latino\, Haitian\, Chinese\, Jamaican\, Bahamian\, Arabic\,
and North American groups to spread the Gospel.\nThe cost for this trip wi
ll be roughly $1000. This is an all-inclusive price for flights\, insuranc
e\, lodging\,\, and meals. The cost will change based on flight prices and
the number of students who register. It could be higher or lower than $10
00\, but I wouldn't anticipate by much. We will be support raising for thi
s trip\, so the out-of-pocket cost will likely be much lower than $1000.\n
We are looking for students who love Jesus and want to see the Gospel spre
ad to join this trip. If that sounds like you\, then apply today! After yo
u apply\, there will be an interview with Pastor Glen to lock in your plac
ement on the team. The application deadline is November 18th\, though you
are encouraged to apply much sooner.
